We're seeking a dynamic Culinary Operations Lead to spearhead our kitchen team and ensure the smooth, efficient, and delicious operation of our culinary endeavors. In this pivotal role, you'll be the driving force behind maintaining kitchen excellence, fostering team growth, and crafting innovative menu offerings. You'll be the go-to person for all kitchen-related matters, ensuring quality, consistency, and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Kitchen Leadership and Management: - Assume full oversight of kitchen operations, commanding respect and fostering a collaborative environment among kitchen staff. - Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, ensuring seamless kitchen workflow. - Optimize kitchen staff productivity through effective delegation and motivation. - Develop and mentor station chefs, cultivating their skills and fostering professional growth. - Menu Innovation and Quality Control: - Conceptualize and implement creative food ideas, developing new or refining existing menu items to drive sales. - Conduct regular inspections of workstations, ensuring adherence to food presentation, quality, hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards. - Guarantee all locations consistently meet product specifications, policies, and procedures related to supplies, ingredients, and finished products. - Operational Efficiency and Cost Management: - Execute bi-monthly inventory checks, maintaining accurate stock levels. - Train the kitchen team on cost-effective practices while upholding recipe standards, cooking, and preparation procedures. - Utilize e-procurement systems to order supplies and manage Goods Received Notes (GRN). - Participate in the quality inspection and inventory verification of all purchased supplies. - Team Development and Administration: - Conduct onboarding, training, and coaching for new kitchen personnel. - Address disciplinary matters, conduct annual performance reviews, and manage staff confirmations. - Develop and manage staff duty rosters and cleaning schedules. - Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures. - Complete additional relevant tasks assigned by senior culinary management.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Proven experience in a senior kitchen leadership role, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. - Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop culinary teams. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. - A creative culinary mind with a passion for developing innovative menu concepts. - Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices. - Proficiency in inventory management and cost control. - Experience with electronic procurement systems. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Ability to enforce company policies and procedures. - Ability to create and manage employee schedules.
