Description
We're seeking a detail-oriented and skilled culinary professional to support the Sous Chef in the daily operations of our French-inspired kitchen. This role involves a blend of administrative tasks, ingredient management, and hands-on food preparation, requiring a passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Support the Sous Chef with various administrative tasks. * Manage the procurement of ingredients and handle invoicing processes. * Prepare ingredients and create dishes according to the standards of a French restaurant. * Provide guidance and instruction to kitchen personnel on proper procedures. * Assist the Chef in the creation and development of new menu items. * Maintain a consistently high quality of all food items and presentation standards for a specific station. * Ensure and uphold high levels of hygiene and organization within the work area, including refrigerators.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Possesses a degree or formal qualification in Culinary Arts. * At least four years of practical experience working in a kitchen environment. * Comprehensive understanding of various culinary ingredients. * Excellent knowledge of proper food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques for a designated station. * A refined palate and a keen sense of taste. * Demonstrated ability to consistently produce high-quality food with excellent presentation. * Thorough understanding of food hygiene regulations and quality standards.
