Description
This role focuses on efficiently managing guest and customer inquiries and maximizing revenue opportunities by effectively handling reservations. The position requires excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage guest reservations, adhering to established brand standards. * Receive and accurately record customer dining reservations in the system. * Maintain knowledge of menus, events, and special promotions offered. * Inform the Guest Relations Manager of waiting lists. * Answer all calls promptly and efficiently. * Maintain a clean and organized reservation area. * Maintain appropriate grooming and personal hygiene standards at all times. * Assist hostesses/hosts as needed. * Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing Manager on event-related tasks. * Provide positive and professional service to guests, striving to exceed their expectations. * Address guest issues and complaints effectively. * Attend regular departmental briefings and contribute to open communication within the team. * Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a fine dining setting. * Proficient in English, with a strong understanding of grammar, composition, spelling, and word usage. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Basic computer skills, with prior experience using restaurant software preferred. * Customer-oriented with a positive and friendly demeanor. * Ability to actively listen to others, understand their perspectives, ask clarifying questions, and avoid interrupting inappropriately. * Friendly and approachable personality. * Cooperative and helpful team player. * Ability and willingness to perform effectively under pressure. * Positive and energetic attitude. * Willingness to go above and beyond to meet guest needs. * Strong passion for customer service and hospitality. * Willingness to work various shifts, including public holidays. * Ability to perform effectively under potentially stressful conditions. * Ability to spend extended periods on the phone and occasionally perform host/hostess duties.
