Reservations Executive

Description

The Reservations Executive is responsible for responding to guest inquiries regarding hotel products and services via phone and email, following established guidelines. This role involves maintaining in-depth knowledge of the hotel’s food & beverage offerings, services, and amenities to effectively promote them. The executive will apply revenue management strategies, up-sell, and promote hotel facilities to maximize sales. Key responsibilities include quoting appropriate room rates, entering booking details into the system, processing reservation amendments, managing special billing arrangements for groups, and ensuring seamless coordination with other departments for smooth operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Respond to guest inquiries about hotel products and services via phone and email, following standard guidelines. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all food & beverage services, hotel outlets, and amenities to effectively promote the offerings. Apply revenue management strategies, up-sell, and promote hotel facilities and services to maximize sales opportunities. Assess guest needs and provide accurate room rates and availability based on their requirements. Enter reservation details into the Reservation System. Process reservation changes such as extensions, early departures, and cancellations. Record special billing arrangements for group bookings. Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in guest services or telemarketing. Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Skilled in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills. Detail-oriented with a service-focused mindset. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated, energetic, and driven.
