Audio Visual Technical Officer (Banquet)

They are seeking an **Audio Visual Technical Officer (Banquet)** to support and enhance our banquet and event operations. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless AV services, maintaining equipment, and delivering exceptional support to internal and external guests during functions and meetings. Responsibilities and Duties

- Maintain organization, sanitation, and cleanliness of all audiovisual areas. - Ensure compliance with AV and catering standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with Catering Managers and Banquet Operations Manager daily to confirm setup requirements. - Assign AV-related tasks and functions to staff while supervising performance. - Manage setup, operation, teardown, and maintenance of hotel AV equipment. - Contact meeting planners before events to confirm requirements and make necessary adjustments. - Train, supervise, and maintain grooming standards for all audiovisual employees. - Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain AV systems, including electrical hook-ups, cabling, and signal flow (HDMI, SDI, VGA, etc.). - Ensure all scheduled events are set up on time, with function areas and staff ready at least 30 minutes before start. - Conduct regular checks of banquet function areas (lighting, outlets, equipment, cleanliness, chandeliers, etc.). - Promote energy conservation and loss prevention practices within the AV department. - Respond promptly and fairly to guest and employee requests, complaints, or accidents, ensuring proper reporting. - Support training of captains in AV operations to ensure continuity during management’s absence. - Attend daily BEO meetings and coordinate action plans. - Adhere to international safety standards and standard operating procedures (SOP) compliance. - Perform cashiering and cash/bank handling duties in compliance with property control and audit standards. - Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. - Undertake any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Diploma in Radio, TV, Film, Communications, or related field. - At least 2 years of experience in AV equipment setup, operation, and maintenance. - Prior hotel banquet operations experience preferred. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to repair AV systems. - Knowledge of cabling standards and AV signal flow. - Excellent communication skills with ability to work under pressure, especially during live events.
