Responsibilities and Duties

* Ensure the smooth daily operation of the banquet department as well as all banquet bar services. * Meet clients for specific rooms and functions. * Manage daily operations by being present on the floor. * Review all banquet event orders to ensure proper set-ups are in place and correct. * Critically assess procedures, policies, and methods of operation, adjusting where necessary. * Drive financial success by monitoring productivity, revenues, and costs. * Ensure financial reporting is maintained and accurate (billing, payroll, etc.). * Build relationships with the Conference Services Department to align vision and exceed customer expectations. * Collaborate with other Food & Beverage departments to share resources and operate as a unified team. * Ensure banquet equipment, fixtures, and furniture are in good supply and well-maintained. * Keep all function information updated with respect to changes or revisions. * Contribute to the budgeting process by setting clear priorities for operational expenditures. * Promote and maintain a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to workplace safety standards. * Contribute to a positive work environment and escalate concerns to Banquet Management in a timely manner. * Coach and train the Banquet leadership team, monitoring development and conducting performance reviews.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum 4 years of experience in banquet servicing preferred. * Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
