Revenue & Reservations Manager

Description

The Revenue Manager will report to the General Manager and be responsible for developing and implementing revenue management strategies to maximize revenue and achieve targets. This involves analyzing market demand, booking pace, and competitor performance to implement pricing strategies, optimize business mix, and manage sales channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market dynamics, the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies, and excellent communication skills to effectively implement these strategies within the hotel. This role also includes overseeing the Reservations Department and collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Optimize revenue and RevPAR through regular reviews of rates, inventory, sales strategies, competitor performance, and booking pace. * Analyze market trends and positioning to identify opportunities and implement initiatives for revenue generation and market share growth, ultimately increasing profitability. * Manage the Reservations Department, including delegating responsibilities and setting KPIs for the team. * Enhance the property's direct booking performance. * Manage and oversee the online distribution strategy across all online sales channels. * Contribute to demand forecasting and provide regular revenue forecasts (weekly and monthly). * Participate in the annual budget and rate rationalization processes. * Manage distribution channels and RevPAR performance for the transient segment, dynamic rates, and achieve budgeted targets. * Provide timely guidance to the Sales Team on sales quotations. * Ensure rate parity, competitiveness, and content accuracy across all online platforms. * Prepare and lead the Revenue Meeting. * Ensure the effective use of all revenue systems and forecasting tools. * Maintain regular communication with partners to stay informed about market changes and industry developments. * Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations on specific tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Three years of experience in revenue management or pricing is preferred. * Solid understanding of hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimization, and sales strategies, with the ability to apply these concepts in various market conditions. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Strong self-starter with meticulous attention to detail. * Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
