Trade Finance Operations

Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to assist in managing all facets of trade finance operations. This role involves overseeing import/export letters of credit, bank guarantees, and correspondent banking while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Assist the Head of Trade Finance Operations in managing all elements of trade finance, including import/export letters of credit, bank guarantees, and correspondent banking. - Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and improving customer satisfaction. - Oversee, mentor, and train the trade finance operations team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous learning. - Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and internal policies to minimize operational and financial risks. - Work closely with departments such as credit risk, compliance, and sales to support the development of trade finance products and enhance client service. - Monitor and analyze operational metrics, preparing reports for senior management that highlight performance and strategic opportunities. - Address complex client inquiries and resolve issues related to trade finance transactions.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CILT, CTP) is preferred. - At least 15 years of experience in trade finance operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. - Strong understanding of trade finance products, regulations, and current market trends. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. - Proven capability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. - An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
