Commercial Finance Business Partner – Planning & Improvement

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team in Singapore. This role involves managing performance analysis, driving strategic decision-making, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize business outcomes. The position reports to the General Manager of Commercial Finance and offers the opportunity to shape strategy and influence future performance in a dynamic global organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Oversee commercial planning processes, providing insights on revenue, profitability, working capital, and cost drivers for leadership decision-making. - Establish performance management processes and forward-looking KPIs aligned with organizational goals. - Influence senior management to shape and implement commercial strategies and priorities. - Collaborate with Product Group leaders, finance teams, and stakeholders to drive performance management and value creation. - Identify risks and opportunities, provide actionable recommendations, and influence outcomes. - Enhance cash conversion and value generation strategies through working capital insights. - Drive cost ownership and accountability among leadership teams. - Lead finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement, automation, and AI integration. - Optimize workflows by reducing manual processes and advocating for efficiency improvements. - Develop and mentor Finance Business Partners, ensuring team alignment with organizational goals. - Oversee the Commercial Assurance Program, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and end-to-end control frameworks. - Advise on risk assessments and control design for new initiatives, such as trading and partnerships. - Support the rollout of ERP systems, aligning tools and processes with operational needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

- A minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, preferably with exposure to commodities. - Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CA, CPA, MBA). - Proven ability to manage and influence diverse teams and build relationships in a matrixed environment. - Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills. - Experience leading teams, mentoring employees, and evaluating performance. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. - Drive for continuous improvement, innovation, and risk management.
