Description

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for handling a full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and inventory management. Key duties include processing invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and on time, performing monthly bank reconciliations, and making necessary general ledger adjustments. The role also involves maintaining accurate financial documentation, preparing audit and GST return documents, and assisting with payroll administration, CPF submission, and employee record maintenance. Additional responsibilities include managing staff leave and MC applications, tracking office equipment inventory, liaising with vendors, and providing administrative support to the management team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Manage full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and inventory. Assist in the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and make necessary general ledger adjustments. Ensure proper maintenance of financial records and bookkeeping. Prepare documentation for audits and GST returns. Support payroll processing, CPF submissions, and employee record maintenance. Handle staff leave and medical certificate (MC) applications. Track and manage office equipment inventory, as well as subscription renewals. Communicate with vendors regarding payment and delivery issues. Provide general administrative assistance to the management team as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience with accounting software such as XERO. Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team. Strong values of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality. Fluent in Mandarin (both written and spoken) to communicate with the overseas Finance department. At least 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
