Accountant

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing finance team. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven ability to analyze financial data.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with accounting standards. * Manage the fixed assets register, conduct annual physical inventories, and ensure all fixed asset transactions are recorded and processed in accordance with company policies. * Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review. * Record and process payments to vendors, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and expenses are approved as per company policy. * Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations, including GST regulations. * Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information. * Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring they adhere to company policies. *Conduct financial analysis and provide support for various projects as needed. * Complete ad-hoc tasks and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience. CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred. * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. * Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting standards, and tax regulations. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
