Description

This senior leadership role is responsible for the comprehensive management of human resources across multiple business entities within the Asia region. The primary objective is to collaborate with business leaders to maximize employee potential, attract and retain a diverse talent pool, shape the future organizational structure, and cultivate a high-performing and inclusive work environment. This position plays a vital role in enabling business growth and success, aligned with the organization's core values and strategic aims.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Partner with business leadership to formulate and implement a human resources strategy that supports business expansion and is consistent with overarching organizational and HR priorities. Work in close collaboration with international HR Centers of Expertise to execute key HR initiatives, driving organizational change, talent development, employee engagement, and cultural transformation that support the organization's regional growth and strategic objectives. - Lead the process of incorporating acquired businesses into the organization. Review existing HR policies, systems, and procedures, and establish a consolidated HR management framework encompassing compensation and benefits, HR operations, training programs, and other essential functions. This framework should align with organizational standards while maintaining some flexibility to address specific business needs. - Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition and management, including developing recruitment strategies, designing effective hiring processes, evaluating candidates, and negotiating compensation packages. - Develop and implement employee relations strategies and practices that foster positive working relationships between employees and management, supporting overall organizational effectiveness. - Provide expert advice and consultation to management on human resource administration to optimize organizational performance. - Design and implement a diversity and inclusion program that cultivates the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to create a genuinely diverse workforce. Promote proactive measures that encourage acceptance of differences and capitalize on the strengths of diverse teams. - Provide counsel on competitive market compensation and internal pay equity, and prepare compensation review data to enable business unit managers to conduct performance and compensation reviews efficiently. - Ensure the effective delivery of HR services to maximize efficiency, quality, and employee satisfaction. Manage all stages of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and leave administration. Regularly review HR processes and programs for continuous improvement and provide ongoing training and communication to employees. - Manage and contribute to the effective operation of payroll services. Ensure adherence to compliance and audit requirements for payroll administration and other related processes. Identify areas for improvement and assess the potential for outsourcing payroll and benefits administration. Participate in the selection and evaluation of payroll vendors. - Collaborate with global teams to optimize HRIS projects and processes to meet local requirements. Develop or revise standard operating procedures, including internal HR processes and employee self-service procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Over 20 years of experience in human resources, with at least 8-10 years in a leadership capacity within a complex multinational organization. - Experience providing comprehensive HR support and leadership across various business functions (e.g., commercial, manufacturing, and support roles). - Demonstrated experience with mergers and acquisitions (both domestically and internationally). - Experience managing HR services and operations across multiple locations or regions, with knowledge of local employment practices in Southeast and North Asia (e.g., Singapore, China, Hong Kong, South Korea). - Experience handling complex HR challenges, particularly within manufacturing and commercial business environments. - A proven track record of leading large-scale organizational change initiatives. - Experience working with international teams and managing requests from global stakeholders. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Fluency in both Mandarin and English (written, spoken, and reading). - Proficiency in standard office productivity software. - Strong general business understanding. - Strong planning, process management, and project management skills. - Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills. - Professional certification in global compensation and benefits management. - Professional certification in organizational coaching. - Ability to communicate effectively and establish rapport with individuals at all organizational levels. - Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities. - Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills to build relationships and achieve positive outcomes as both a leader and team member. - Strong focus on ensuring customer satisfaction. - Ethical conduct in all business interactions. - High degree of reliability, accountability, and ownership. - Accuracy and strong attention to detail. - Adaptability and composure under pressure.
