Description

We’re looking for a dedicated and eager-to-learn Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen operations. This role is perfect for someone interested in developing practical skills in food handling, kitchen technology, and inventory control while maintaining high standards of hygiene and service.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Understand and follow the restaurant’s food hygiene and safety procedures *Get familiar with the kitchen display system for processing customer orders *Assist in preparing featured and seasonal menu items by following recipe instructions *Learn and follow the restaurant's inventory and stock management processes *Ensure ingredients are used based on FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation *Inspect and plate dishes to meet presentation and quality expectations *Support other kitchen stations as needed to maintain smooth operations *Help with cleaning and maintaining kitchen tools, dishes, and workspaces *Receive stock deliveries, check for accuracy, and ensure proper storage

Qualifications and Requirements

*Must be available to work weekends and public holidays *Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen *Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative *Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
