Description

As a Housekeeping Host, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to the hotel’s high standards. Your duties will include dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and changing linens, ensuring all guest rooms are properly stocked with necessary amenities and supplies such as towels, toiletries, and linens. You will also report any maintenance issues or damage to the Housekeeping Manager and respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or services. Your responsibilities will extend to completing daily room assignments and assisting with special projects as needed. Effective communication with departments like Front Office and Engineering is essential to meet guest needs. You will follow safety and security procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor to reflect the hotel’s commitment to exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Clean and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to hotel standards (dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and changing linens). * Ensure guest rooms are properly stocked with amenities such as towels, linens, and toiletries. * Report any maintenance issues or damage to the Housekeeping Manager immediately. * Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities (e.g., extra towels, pillows, blankets). * Complete daily room assignments and assist with special projects as needed. * Communicate effectively with other departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering) to meet guest needs. * Follow safety and security procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. * Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to exceptional guest service. * Attend all required training sessions and meetings. * Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations. * Participate in emergency response procedures and support during emergencies.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or resort is an advantage. * Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specific instructions. * Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. * Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper storage/disposal methods. * Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing needs. * Positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude with a passion for excellent service. Physical Requirements: * Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. * Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts loaded with supplies. * Ability to climb stairs and ladders. * Ability to lift and carry up to 15kg.
