Description
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and quality standards of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities such as the pool. You will oversee room inspections, prioritize room cleaning based on room status reports, and assign tasks to housekeepers for their daily shifts. You will assist the Housekeeping management team in managing daily operations, including task delegation, training, and addressing discrepancies with the Front Desk. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with safety protocols, brand standards, and company procedures while performing any other duties as assigned by the management.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and amenities like the pool after cleaning to ensure they meet quality standards. * Review sold room reports, verify room statuses, identify discrepancies, prioritize room cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms. * Assign daily room cleaning tasks to housekeepers. * Assist Housekeeping management with daily operations, task management, and staff training. * Document and address discrepancies in room status with the Front Desk. * Prepare and distribute assignment sheets/workboards, ensuring all changes are communicated clearly. * Ensure familiarity with standard operating procedures, such as lost and found protocols. * Adhere to The Westin brand's cleanliness standards for guest rooms. * Follow company policies, safety procedures, and security guidelines; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete necessary safety training and certifications. * Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role within a hotel or hospitality environment. * Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and quality standards. * Ability to inspect and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and amenities. * Familiarity with room status reports, discrepancy resolution, and prioritizing room cleaning tasks. * Excellent organizational and time management skills to assign and monitor daily tasks. * Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, the Front Desk, and other departments. * Ability to train, motivate, and manage housekeeping staff effectively. * Knowledge of standard operating procedures, including lost and found protocols. * Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining brand standards and high cleanliness standards. * Ability to follow safety and security policies and procedures, and complete required safety training and certifications. * Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed. * Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
