They are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic **Finance Manager** to oversee financial planning, analysis, and performance management for hotels and hospitality assets across Singapore, Australia, and Japan. Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with hotel operators and cross-functional teams. - Review and challenge operator-submitted budgets with focus on revenue segmentation, expense structures, payroll efficiency, GOP margins, and CAPEX allocation. - Provide variance analysis and financial insights to support asset management and negotiation processes. - Review monthly property performance, reforecasts, and operator-submitted balance sheets. - Prepare pre-month-end FP&A decks including variance commentary, risk assessments, and operator queries. - Identify margin improvement and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality. - Conduct scenario planning and maintain consolidated portfolio forecasts. - Monitor liquidity metrics, receivables, accruals, and highlight anomalies requiring escalation. - Support new hotel openings through review of pre-opening budgets, cashflows, and ongoing expense tracking. - Provide financial benchmarking, operator scorecards, and commercial performance analysis. - Review supplier and maintenance contracts for cost-effectiveness and value delivery. - Produce high-quality financial reports and presentations to support executive decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. - Minimum 8 years’ relevant finance experience, preferably in hospitality or hotel sector with regional exposure. - Proven experience in FP&A or asset management, ideally from the ownership side. - Strong financial modelling and business analysis expertise with advanced Excel skills. - Skilled in preparing presentations and strategic insights with PowerPoint. - Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera PMS, Sun, or BirchStreet is an advantage. - Confident working independently under tight timelines with limited data. - Regional portfolio experience covering **Australia (required)**, Singapore, and Japan.
