A dynamic and growing restaurant in the Keppel area is seeking an exceptional Head Chef to spearhead their kitchen team and drive the culinary vision forward. Responsibilities and Duties

* Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. * Provide strong leadership by guiding and delegating tasks to the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow. * Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, safety protocols, and hygiene, adhering to established guidelines. * Ensure seamless kitchen operations, upholding exceptional standards that reflect a commitment to excellence. * Strictly adhere to all dietary preferences and allergy requirements. * Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen consistently meet the restaurant's quality standards. * Actively participate in menu planning, offering valuable insights to keep offerings fresh and aligned with customer expectations. * Efficiently manage the kitchen staff schedule, aligning with staffing needs. * Track daily sales and food waste, compiling monthly reports for the general manager. * Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the premises, equipment, and kitchen at all times. * Perform other duties as directed by the Executive Chef. * Implement effective portion control to minimize food costs. * Collaborate with management to establish competitive and profitable menu pricing that satisfies customers. * Prudently manage operational expenses within budgetary guidelines. * Analyze daily sales data and meticulously record food wastage, providing detailed monthly reports to management. * Conduct regular inventory checks of kitchen supplies, ensuring accurate records and identifying discrepancies. * Manage the ordering process for kitchen supplies, maintaining appropriate stock levels for smooth operations. * Liaise with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and terms while ensuring timely deliveries. * Lead research and development efforts to introduce innovative menu items that incorporate culinary trends and exceed customer expectations. * Experiment with various ingredients, cooking methods, and presentation styles to continuously elevate the dining experience. * Collaborate with the Executive Chef to refresh and enhance existing menu items. * Gather customer feedback and adapt menu offerings accordingly, maintaining a customer-focused approach. * Take a leadership role in the kitchen, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and ongoing improvement. * Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as the front-of-house team and management, to ensure a positive and unified dining experience. * Oversee continuous training and development programs for kitchen staff, ensuring they stay updated with culinary trends and maintain high work standards. * Mentor and guide junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of growth and professional development. * Maintain open and effective communication with superiors and the team at all times. * Demonstrate a positive attitude and a strong eagerness to learn within a growth-oriented company. * Uphold high service standards and actively seek opportunities to improve service and workflow. * Be receptive to suggestions for improvement and feedback. * Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications and Requirements
