Description

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a Halal-certified catering company specializing in Western and fusion cuisine. The role involves menu planning, kitchen management, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met. EA License Number: 22C1267 EA Personnel: R22110252

Responsibilities and Duties

* Plan, develop, and improvise menus to meet client needs and new business opportunities * Establish nutritious recipes and manage costing for profitability * Oversee labor cost planning and productivity output * Supervise and direct kitchen staff in food preparation, plating, and delivery * Monitor inventory, purchasing, and par stock levels to ensure readiness * Ensure cleanliness of kitchen facilities and compliance with hygiene standards * Maintain compliance with SOPs, policies, and service standards * Drive continual improvement through audits and feedback * Address operational challenges and resolve complaints effectively

Qualifications and Requirements

* Formal qualifications in Western culinary arts * Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, including team management * Strong leadership, coaching, and time management skills * Experience working with multicultural teams * Ability to handle rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays * Familiarity with PC applications and kitchen management systems
