Responsibilities and Duties
* Respond to guests promptly to resolve their issues while providing personal recognition for their needs. * Ensure that VIPs and priority club guests receive special attention. * Guarantee that frontline team members adhere to FIT marketing techniques to maximize sales and promote upselling, along with inter-hotel sales and in-house facilities. * Review billing instructions and monitor guest credit. * Analyze and approve discounts and rebates. * Evaluate the rate variance report to ensure effective room revenue control. * Assist in preparing the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans. * Monitor the budget while controlling labor costs and expenses, focusing on rate strategy, building initiatives, and inventory management. * Support the Front Office team and other departments during peak hours by greeting, rooming, and sending off VIP guests. * Supervise and direct Reception and Reservations personnel regarding standards of conduct, uniform, hygiene, and appearance. * Assist superiors with all team member-related matters, including staffing, recruiting, training, discipline, and communication. * Ensure the team is properly trained according to the hotel’s guidelines and quality standards. * Ensure that all procedures are conducted safely and in compliance with policies and guidelines. * Stay informed about duty of care and adhere to occupational health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures. * Be familiar with property safety, first aid, fire, and emergency procedures, and operate equipment safely and sensibly. * Log security incidents and accidents per hotel requirements. * Take appropriate action with the Property Management System (PMS) in emergency situations.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a hotel Front Office department. * At least a Diploma qualification in any field. * Ability to work rotational shifts, including night shifts
