Description

Oversee all hotel operations, maintaining discipline across departments to ensure exceptional service for every guest at all times.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room availability and occupancy, ensuring accurate information at all times. * Supervise and guide personnel in: * Allocating and preparing guest rooms. * Meeting and escorting VIP guests. * Providing general information and assistance to guests. * Monitor Duty Manager log books for special requests and instructions, ensuring actions are taken as required. * Conduct regular room inspections with a focus on cleanliness and adherence to set standards. * Perform regular site inspections of other hotel areas. * Coordinate with Housekeeping on special requests, full occupancy situations, and problem-solving. * Address guest complaints professionally and diplomatically. * Optimize occupancy, revenue, and average rate while maintaining high service standards through upselling programs. * Ensure guest registration, checkout, and mail services are handled efficiently and courteously per hotel policies. * Ensure workplace compliance with health and safety regulations and be familiar with emergency procedures for various situations, including fire, guest or associate accidents, bomb threats, suspicious packages, serious crimes, guest fatalities, elevator malfunctions, and power outages.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in hotel operations or a similar role. * Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field. * Strong knowledge of hotel management systems; experience with Opera is a plus. * Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and well-groomed appearance. * Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to handle guest complaints tactfully and diplomatically. * Demonstrated ability to manage occupancy, revenue, and average rate through upselling programs. * Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including emergency procedures for fire prevention, guest or associate accidents, bomb threats, and other critical situations. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections and maintain high standards.
