Description
The Duty Manager oversees daily staffing and assigns tasks to ensure smooth front office operations. They supervise, train, and motivate the Front Desk team, ensuring efficient communication and coordination among departments. The role involves addressing guest complaints, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining an accurate log of notable incidents for management review. Additional duties are performed as directed by the superior.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage daily staffing needs, plan and assign tasks to ensure efficient front office operations. * Supervise, train, motivate, and coach Front Desk staff. * Facilitate effective communication and coordination among departments, staff, and managers. * Address guest complaints and implement corrective actions as needed. * Maintain accurate records in the Duty Manager’s logbook of incidents and items for management’s attention. * Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. * Diploma or equivalent in Tourism or Hospitality Management. * Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. * Well-groomed with strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. * Knowledge of Opera is a plus.
