Description
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Guest Services Supervisor to join our team, dedicated to providing a Legendary Quality Experience for our guests. In this role, you will ensure exceptional service by assisting with guests' travel, entertainment, dining, and other requests, while offering personalized recommendations. You will also be responsible for managing the Concierge team in the absence of senior management, overseeing the front driveway and car valet services, and maintaining seamless communication with third-party vendors. Fluency in Japanese is essential to communicate effectively with our Japanese-speaking guests. Additionally, you will stay informed on local activities, cultural events, and attractions, ensuring our guests have access to the best experiences. This position requires leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering world-class service.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Deliver outstanding service to guests by handling their requests, including travel, transport, and local recommendations. * Communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking guests to address their specific needs. * Oversee and manage the Concierge, Baggage, and Doormen teams, ensuring high standards of service. * Provide training to the Concierge and Front Office teams to ensure consistent service. * Maintain an organized record of guest preferences and ensure this information is accessible for future reference. * Stay informed on local events and activities, offering guests accurate recommendations and assisting with bookings. * Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the front driveway, car valet services, and guest arrivals and departures. * Participate in Les Clefs d'Or activities to maintain a strong network of information and connections in the luxury hospitality industry.
Qualifications and Requirements
* JLPT N2 certification and fluent in spoken Japanese to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking guests. * Experience interacting with Japanese-speaking guests; proficiency in Japanese is a must. * At least 2 years of experience in supervisory roles within 5-star luxury hotels. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Passionate about engaging with guests and providing exceptional service. * Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays (no night shifts).
