Description
This crucial role provides comprehensive administrative support for the accounting and human resources departments. You will ensure the smooth running of daily operations by handling accounts payable and receivable, managing payroll, and assisting with HR tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable. * Process company payroll accurately and efficiently. * Handle employee expense claims, ensuring proper documentation and reimbursement procedures. * Work closely with the Quantity Surveying (QS) department to guarantee timely payments to suppliers and subcontractors. * Prepare and submit invoices for services rendered, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of payments. * Complete quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST) submissions. * Prepare and submit bank reconciliation statements for accurate financial record-keeping. * Liaise and coordinate with auditors during audits. * Perform other accounts-related administrative tasks as assigned. * Handle daily office HR-related matters, which may include tasks such as data entry, record-keeping, and administrative support for HR processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as accounting or business administration. * Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in the building construction industry, preferably in an accounts or HR assistant role. * A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and GST. * Proficiency in using accounting software programs. * The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a well-organized work environment. * A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks, particularly when handling financial data. * The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues from various departments, including senior management, auditors, and external vendors. * The ability to identify and resolve problems independently or with minimal supervision. * Familiarity with HR processes and procedures is a plus. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
