Description
The Assistant HR Manager is responsible for manpower planning and managing the entire recruitment process, including employee retention, turnover, and career fairs. They oversee hospitalization and surgical benefits, as well as workmen's compensation insurance. The role includes managing employee attendance, scheduling, and leave approvals, along with overseeing work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations. The Assistant HR Manager also manages HR programs such as e-leave, e-attendance, and staff housing inspections, collaborating with system vendors for maintenance. They handle the onboarding and offboarding processes, including exit clearance for terminations and resignations. Additionally, they prepare monthly HR reports, process statutory board surveys, and assist with industrial relations matters.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage manpower planning and oversee the recruitment process, including employee retention, turnover, and organizing career fairs. * Handle Hospitalization & Surgical and Workmen’s Compensation Insurance matters. * Supervise employee attendance, work schedules, duty rosters, and manage work shift allocations, including leave approvals. * Oversee the application, renewal, and cancellation of work passes. * Administer HR systems (e-leave, e-attendance, staff housing Inspex) and coordinate with system vendors for maintenance and updates. * Manage the onboarding process for new employees and offboarding for terminations/resignations, ensuring proper exit procedures are followed. * Prepare monthly HR reports and handle statutory board surveys. * Provide support in managing industrial relations matters.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management (HRM). * Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. * A proactive, results-driven team player with strong interpersonal and presentation skills. * Sound knowledge of Singapore's Labour Laws and regulations.
