Responsibilities and Duties
* Organize and equip designated kitchen areas with all necessary ingredients, tools, and supplies. * Prepare food components for menu items, which may include tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing meats, or creating sauces. * Cook menu items according to established recipes and techniques, working effectively with the rest of the kitchen team. * Receive, understand, and execute instructions from executive or sous chefs, providing necessary reports and updates. * Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring proper handling and storage of leftover food items. * Manage and replenish inventory at the assigned station as needed. * Ensure that all prepared food items are cooked and ready for service at the same time, maintaining a high level of quality and adhering to timely service standards. * Strictly adhere to all regulations concerning food safety, sanitation, and nutritional guidelines. * Maintain a respectful, cooperative, and professional attitude when interacting with both colleagues and customers.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience in setting up and efficiently stocking a kitchen workstation. * Demonstrated ability to prepare a variety of food ingredients using standard culinary techniques. * Proven ability to cook menu items accurately and consistently, following recipes and instructions. * Capacity to comprehend and follow directions from senior kitchen staff, providing relevant feedback. * Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area. * Basic understanding of kitchen inventory procedures and stock rotation. * Ability to work collaboratively with a team to ensure smooth and timely food preparation and service. * Knowledge of and adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations. * A positive, professional, and team-oriented approach to work and interactions.
