Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to take on a leadership role within our kitchen. This position involves contributing to the creation of our food and drink menus and consistently preparing dishes of exceptional quality in both taste and appearance. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, adhering to our standards for culinary excellence and timely service. This role also includes supporting the Head Chef, leading and developing the kitchen team, managing supplies, and maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and safety. A collaborative spirit and a passion for culinary innovation are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Contribute to the development and design of all food and beverage menus. * Consistently prepare dishes that are exceptional in both flavor and visual appeal. * Ensure the kitchen functions smoothly and adheres to the establishment's culinary and timing guidelines. * Support the Executive Chef in planning and overseeing food preparation as necessary. * Effectively address kitchen-related challenges and take initiative during unforeseen circumstances. * Lead, train, and supervise kitchen personnel, develop work schedules, and assess team performance. * Monitor stock levels and manage supply orders to ensure adequate inventory. * Enforce strict adherence to all regulations concerning hygiene, sanitation, and safety. * Cultivate a positive, respectful, and professional atmosphere among colleagues and when interacting with guests. * Collaborate with the culinary team to conceptualize new menu items, seasonal specials, and tasting experiences. * Ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as proper food handling procedures. * Maintain overall cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, including the upkeep of equipment and the correct storage of ingredients.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Demonstrated experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable kitchen leadership position. * Comprehensive understanding of culinary methods, kitchen procedures, and food presentation standards. * Proven ability to guide, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff in a high-pressure environment. * Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards. * Excellent time management and organizational capabilities. * Innovative thinking with a strong enthusiasm for food development and menu creation. * Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. * Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness when working under pressure. * Adaptability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
