Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the successful execution of hotel operations across departments, including Front Office, Business Center, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage/Culinary, and Engineering/Maintenance. - Lead, coach, and develop team members, ensuring service goals are consistently met or exceeded. - Monitor guest and employee satisfaction results; create and communicate improvement plans while reinforcing strengths. - Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm, serving as a role model for the team. - Support scheduling of staff in line with occupancy and productivity targets. - Address employee concerns proactively and maintain professional communication at all times. - Publish guest satisfaction results in a timely manner and ensure recovery plans are executed effectively. - Deliver excellent customer service by being approachable and responsive to guest needs and concerns. - Ensure all team members comply with hospitality and service standards. - Assist in financial management, including quality audits, key control, and reviewing financial and performance data. - Support recruitment activities, including interviewing and onboarding new team members. - Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with staff to align on goals and performance. - Perform hourly job functions as needed to support operations. - Handle other tasks and assignments as directed by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in hotel operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity. - Strong knowledge of hospitality operations and guest service standards. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to analyze operational and financial data to inform decision-making. - Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic hospitality environment.
