Guest Service Executive

Description

The Guest Service Executive ensures courteous and efficient service, handling guest requests and calls promptly. They are knowledgeable about room types, rates, and availability, and aim to upsell when possible. Complaints are addressed swiftly, and issues are escalated as needed. The role also involves ensuring guest room security, following emergency procedures, and promoting Safe Deposit box use. Additionally, they stay informed about hotel facilities and local attractions while maintaining effective communication with hotel staff.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide courteous and efficient service, complying with guest requests when possible. Ensure telephone calls are answered promptly within three rings. Be knowledgeable about room types, rates, and availability; upsell when possible. Take ownership of guest complaints, addressing them promptly and reporting to supervisor for follow-up. Complete glitch reports when necessary. Ensure guest room security and adhere to emergency and fire procedures. Encourage the use of Safe Deposit boxes (El-Safe) and follow policies for their use. Stay informed about hotel facilities, local attractions, and events, offering accurate information to guests. Maintain professional relationships and effective communication with all hotel staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum GCE 'O' Level Able to perform rotating shifts Positive attitude and outgoing personality and good public relations skills Minimum 1 year experience in similar capacity in hospitality industry Knowledge of Opera system
