Responsibilities and Duties

* Support the Cook by preparing a variety of meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping vegetables, fruits, poultry, and meats. * Wash, chop, shred, and grate ingredients with precision and efficiency. * Maintain a spotless and hygienic food preparation environment by properly cleaning and sanitizing all areas according to established standards. * Ensure all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes are thoroughly washed and stored correctly. * Promptly move meal ingredients from storage to the kitchen as directed by the Cook. * Assist with the unloading of delivered food supplies and ensure their proper organization and storage. * Maintain the cleanliness of food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen work areas.

Qualifications and Requirements

* A minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience assisting in a professional kitchen environment. * Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting. * A solid understanding of food health and safety regulations and best practices. * A strong team player with effective communication skills. * Excellent organizational and time management abilities. * Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
