Description

The Assistant HR Manager handles recruitment, payroll, and employee records, ensuring accurate processing of applications, contracts, and leave. Responsibilities include maintaining filing systems, assisting with insurance claims, addressing finance-related HR queries, and managing administrative tasks. The role also involves supporting management with correspondence, committee participation, and ensuring confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities and Duties

Oversee recruitment and HR processes, including posting job openings on platforms like WSG and Jobstreet, scheduling interviews, processing applications, negotiating contracts, reviewing time-sheets, and ensuring accurate payroll management, including leave and public holiday allocations. Maintain an organized filing system according to established standards and ensure team compliance. Assist with insurance claims and surveys in accordance with government agency requirements. Address HR-related inquiries from the finance team. Submit and reconcile expense reports. Draft letters and emails on behalf of management. Handle confidential information with discretion. Continuously improve and update administrative systems for efficiency. Ensure employee records are up-to-date. Participate in task forces and committees as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. At least 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a similar industry. Strong knowledge of HR processes, payroll systems, and recruitment platforms. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with local labor laws and HR best practices. Positive attitude with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
