Description
This role provides essential support to the Human Resources Manager in managing all aspects of worker administration, ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. This includes overseeing work pass applications, managing worker welfare, administering training programs, and maintaining accurate employee records.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Review and streamline existing workflows and processes to improve efficiency. * Administer work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations. * Manage worker arrival, transfer, repatriation, and tax clearance procedures. * Handle worker work injury claims, health and safety matters, and medical claims. * Manage core trade registrations. * Administer worker dormitory matters. * Manage the recruitment process for Technical Executives and Technicians, including job postings, shortlisting candidates, and conducting interviews. * Monitor and ensure the accuracy of worker databases and records within the company's HR system. * Monitor and ensure the timely and accurate processing of worker payroll, including monthly payroll and overtime calculations. * Administer all training-related activities, including course registrations, enrollments, withdrawals, training grant applications and claims, training record maintenance, evaluation administration, and logistical arrangements. * Source, recommend, and evaluate training vendors. * Assist in the implementation of learning and development initiatives. * Manage internship and scholarship programs. * Execute HR projects and initiatives as assigned. * Undertake any ad-hoc projects as assigned by the supervisor or management team.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Diploma in Human Resources, Administration, Business Studies, or a related field with at least one year of experience in the Building, Construction, or Facility Management industry. * OR Certificate in Business Administration or Human Resources with 2-3 years of relevant experience in the Building, Construction, or Facility Management industry. * Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in the Building, Construction, or Facility Management industry. * 1-2 years of working knowledge of an HR information system is a plus. * Ability to commit to a 5.5-day work week with alternate Saturdays. * Strong understanding of Singaporean labor laws, the Employment Act, and relevant statutory programs. * Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * A team player with a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation. * Ability to start immediately or within a short notice.
