Description

This position involves leading the service team during shifts, ensuring compliance with standards, and optimizing front-of-house operations. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing staff, and driving continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Operational Management: - Oversee the opening, operation, and closing of shifts. - Review staff schedules to ensure adequate staffing. - Analyze inventory levels and propose purchases. - Develop strategies to achieve sales targets. - Plan operational budgets. - Coordinate crisis response and recovery activities. - Interview and select new staff. - Prepare and manage reports related to membership, waitlists, and revenue. - Assist with organizing club events and member engagement activities. - Facilitate communication of club updates and policy changes to members. - Team Development and Leadership: - Translate skill requirements into targeted learning and development plans. - Communicate goals, direction, and accountability to staff. - Develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and career discussions. - Implement effective performance management practices. - Customer Experience and Service: - Analyze customer profiles and preferences to provide personalized recommendations. - Implement customer service standards to achieve organizational goals. - Identify and recommend initiatives to address service gaps. - Develop and implement customer loyalty strategies. - Provide prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries and complaints. - Hygiene, Safety, and Compliance: - Conduct audits on staff adherence to personal, food, and beverage hygiene standards. - Audit staff compliance with food waste management procedures. - Audit staff compliance with workplace safety and health policies. - Audit staff adherence to regulations regarding alcoholic beverages. - Continuous Improvement: - Review and optimize work processes. - Propose and implement improvement initiatives. - Analyze performance and identify opportunities for innovation. - General Duties: - Adhere to workplace safety and health procedures. - Use provided personal protective equipment. - Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Experience: - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in customer service and supervision of food and beverage teams (experience in a recreation club is a plus). - Education: - Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field. - Skills and Competencies: - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Customer-first mindset. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and management systems. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. - Ability to handle customer concerns professionally. - Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
