Restaurant Manager

You'll be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and fostering a positive and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Operational Leadership and Oversight: - Manage the daily service operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures. - Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the restaurant during your shift. - Monitor and maintain the restaurant's operating systems. - Guest Experience and Satisfaction: - Greet and seat guests, assigning tables based on group size and preferences. - Recognize regular guests and communicate their preferences to the Chef. - Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution and continuous improvement. - Ensure guest requests are fulfilled in a timely manner. - Proactively build a loyal customer base, maintaining a customer database and personalizing service. - Team Management and Development: - Provide coaching and feedback to staff to improve performance. - Ensure team briefings are conducted before each service period. - Ensure staff are knowledgeable about menu items and properly groomed. - Develop and implement service-related training programs. - Financial and Inventory Management: - Ensure no outstanding bills remain in the system and account for all voided transactions. - Adjust checks or bills as needed. - Participate in monthly physical stock takes of glassware, plates, crockery, and other items. - Compliance and Standards: - Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene. - Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and proper setup of the restaurant and related areas. - Handle emergency and difficult situations effectively. - Additional Duties: - Record and report food-related complaints to the Chef immediately. - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
