Assistant Restaurant Manager

Description

This position offers an opportunity to support the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the restaurant. You'll assist in planning, directing staff, and maintaining high standards of food and beverage service.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Operational Support and Planning: - Assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant. - Collaborate with chefs and other staff to develop appealing menus that resonate with customers. - Work with chefs to efficiently procure and purchase supplies. - Estimate food and beverage costs and supervise portion control to minimize waste. - Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistent food preparation and service. - Financial Performance and Team Leadership: - Contribute to achieving all financial targets. - Lead the team during shifts, ensuring adherence to company service standards. - Assist in planning marketing, advertising, and special restaurant events. - Staff Management and Training: - Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling food service personnel. - Customer Service and Problem Resolution: - Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality and service. - Process customer payments using the Point of Sale system. - General Duties: - Assist with general restaurant operations. - Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Education and Experience: - Minimum GCE ‘N’ level or equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. - Skills and Abilities: - Strong communication, interpersonal, and management skills. - Passion for delivering excellent service. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Ability to communicate effectively in English and one other language.
