Description
We are hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join a prestigious hotel in Orchard. The role supports the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, ensuring food quality, and maintaining hygiene standards. Responsibilities and Duties
* Assist the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising staff * Ensure all dishes meet high standards of quality and presentation * Monitor inventory and support ordering of kitchen supplies * Maintain kitchen cleanliness in compliance with food safety regulations * Train and mentor junior staff to foster teamwork and continuous improvement * Collaborate on menu development and seasonal offerings * Ensure timely preparation and smooth delivery of meals during service * Resolve minor operational issues and support a positive kitchen environment
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum 6 years of professional kitchen experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role * Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines * Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills * Certification in Culinary Arts or Food Safety preferred * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting * Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
