They are seeking a proactive and driven Hotel Events Sales Executive. The role is responsible for managing all event and group sales activities, from enquiry to execution, while developing strong client relationships and maximizing revenue. EA License Number: 22C1267 EA Personnel: R22110252
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage all event and group room sales enquiries from initial request through contracting, billing, and payment. - Liaise with in-house departments to ensure seamless event and group execution. - Maintain ownership of group bookings, including pickup numbers, reservations, VIP handling, and billing accuracy. - Conduct and coordinate site inspections, room showings, and restaurant showcases. - Identify and develop new accounts, with a target of at least 2 new prospects per week. - Prepare and execute sales plans for identified markets/accounts to secure future bookings. - Manage and grow corporate accounts, tracking transient, group, and catering production. - Gather and analyze market intelligence, including competitor activity, customer trends, and new opportunities. - Ensure prompt follow-up on enquiries, proposals, site inspections, and phone calls. - Maintain accuracy in booking details, contracts, sales documents, and departmental filing standards. - Manage external platforms such as DayAway, TagVenue, and explore new event partnerships. - Prepare Event Orders, Contracts, and maintain an Event Tracker with monthly revenue, cost, and target updates. - Personally welcome groups of more than 20 dining guests and ensure memorable guest experiences. - Organize and maintain hotel Dropbox folders with all relevant event sales materials. - Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing Manager to create event packages and promotions for business continuity. - Perform additional duties as assigned in line with business needs and departmental restructuring.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, events, or hospitality. - Proven track record in account management and event coordination. - Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively. - Ability to build long-term relationships with clients and partners. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of hotel systems is an advantage.
