Duty Engineer

A globally recognized luxury brand located at Orchard Boulevard, is seeking a skilled and hands-on **Duty Engineer** to oversee all engineering operations within the hotel. The Duty Engineer ensures smooth technical operations, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation while supporting the hotel’s commitment to exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities and Duties

- Oversee and delegate daily tasks to the engineering team, aligning with maintenance programs such as the **Perfect Room Program (PRP)** and **Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP)**. - Coordinate and supervise hotel-wide engineering activities. - Develop and execute PMP for engineering equipment/systems, including those under Maintenance Contracts, ensuring strict compliance. - Monitor inventory levels of engineering supplies and ensure timely replenishment. - Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and manage minor engineering projects. - Ensure all M&E, ACMV, fire, and safety systems are well maintained and regularly inspected. - Implement and promote energy conservation measures and seek continuous improvement opportunities. - Conduct daily inspections of engineering plant rooms and random checks on subordinates’ work. - Lead daily meetings, train, and mentor engineering staff, fostering their career development. - Enforce hotel policies on grooming, conduct, and operational standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Diploma in Building/Facilities Engineering or equivalent. - Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Building/Facilities Technician with hands-on expertise, or 2 years as Senior Technician/M&E Supervisor/Maintenance Officer. - At least 1 year of administrative experience in hospitality or engineering is advantageous. - Proficient in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook). - Positive attitude, detail-oriented, proactive in handling emergencies, and growth-driven mindset.

Working Condition

Working hours

- Mondays to Fridays and one weekend per week, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Must be flexible to cover shift duties when required.
