Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Section Head (Outlet Cook) to oversee culinary operations in a French and Western cuisine kitchen. The role involves managing food preparation, reviewing menus, ensuring food quality, and training kitchen staff. Responsibilities and Duties
* Control and direct food preparation processes and related activities * Review and construct menus with new or existing culinary creations * Approve dishes before they are served to customers * Plan equipment and ingredient orders according to operational needs * Arrange repairs and resolve kitchen issues as needed * Manage, train, and mentor kitchen staff * Ensure compliance with nutrition, hygiene, and safety regulations * Foster a cooperative and respectful team environment
Qualifications and Requirements
* Graduate from a recognized culinary institution (e.g., Culinary Institute of America, Le Cordon Bleu) preferred * At least 8 years of proven experience with French or Western cuisine * Strong kitchen management and leadership skills * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment * Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and food presentation
