Description

They are seeking for a highly skilled Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations at the luxury resort in Singapore. This role ensures that all facilities are safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently to deliver a premium guest experience. EA License Number: 22C1267 EA Personnel: R22110252

Responsibilities and Duties

* Assist the Chief Engineer in daily operations covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other hotel infrastructure systems. * Supervise, guide, and support the engineering team to achieve operational efficiency and safety compliance. * Conduct regular inspections of resort facilities to meet safety regulations, local codes, and resort standards. * Oversee preventive maintenance programs to protect physical assets and extend equipment lifespan. * Collaborate on energy conservation initiatives and sustainability practices to reduce environmental impact. * Respond swiftly to emergencies and equipment breakdowns, coordinating timely repairs with minimal guest disruption. * Support budgeting, vendor management, procurement, and tracking of departmental expenditures. * Ensure guest and departmental maintenance requests are resolved promptly and efficiently. * Train, mentor, and develop engineering staff to maintain high standards and safety commitment. * Partner with other departments to ensure seamless operational coordination across the resort.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field. * 5–7 years of hotel/resort engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. * Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices. * Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and collaboration abilities. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. * Proficiency in engineering software, preventive maintenance systems, and Microsoft Office.
