Description

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team and contribute to the creation of exceptional Japanese cuisine. This role involves working closely with fellow culinary professionals to deliver high-quality food experiences. The successful candidate will learn and perform duties across various kitchen stations, preparing a diverse range of dishes with precision and care. Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and engaging with customers in a service-oriented manner are also key aspects of this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare top-notch Japanese dishes. * Acquire and perform job functions for the Plating, Cold Kitchen, and Grill sections. * Prepare a variety of dishes according to the assigned station, including deep-fried, grilled, sautéed, steamed, and cold items. * Plate and present food items with meticulous attention to detail. * Consistently maintain and adhere to stringent hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant, along with impeccable personal grooming. * Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food handling regulations. * Demonstrate a customer-focused approach, readily interacting with guests in an open bar setting. * Undertake any other tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

* At least one year of relevant experience working in a kitchen environment. * Must possess fundamental knife skills and a basic understanding of ingredients. * Possess the mental agility to learn quickly, manage demands, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Maintain exceptionally high standards of hygiene and safety. * Demonstrate initiative and be an effective team collaborator. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
