Senior / Security Officer (Hotel)

Description

The Senior / Security Officer supports the Safety and Security Manager by ensuring the overall safety of guests, colleagues, and premises, overseeing security operations, responding to emergencies, supervising officers, maintaining compliance, and contributing to seamless hotel operations. Responsibilities and Duties

* Ensure overall safety and security of hotel guests, colleagues, and premises * Supervise static security posts, monitor movement, and escalate suspicious activities * Maintain strict control of access to sensitive areas including CCTV room * Act as key member of Emergency Response Team for fires, accidents, medical emergencies, and safety concerns * Administer First Aid and CPR during incidents * Lead evacuation efforts according to hotel protocols * Respond to and document all incidents in security logbook; complete reports and handover notes * Investigate accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations per protocols * Conduct briefings and debriefings for Security Officers before and after shifts * Monitor attendance, performance, and discipline within the team; escalate issues to Security Manager * Conduct bag checks and enforce internal policies for fire safety, health, hygiene, and security * Monitor fire and access control alarm systems and correct hazards or malfunctions * Operate and monitor CCTV system and respond to breaches * Assist in training security team on safety standards, emergency protocols, and compliance * Provide operational support to other hotel departments during peak periods or emergencies * Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to maintain safety and service standards * Respond to guest concerns related to safety or security with discretion * Integrate sustainability measures into security operations to support hotel’s eco-friendly goals

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum 1 year experience as Security Officer (hotel experience preferred) * Possess valid Police Licensing Regulatory Department Security Officer license * Service-oriented with positive working attitude * Willing to perform rotating shift work
