Description
The Housekeeping Executive oversees cleaning and waste management operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Responsibilities include supervising contractors, conducting facility inspections, training staff, addressing housekeeping and recycling issues, and monitoring contractor performance. They support recycling programs, analyze data, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and collaborate with suppliers to promote sustainable waste management practices and process improvements.
Responsibilities and Duties
Supervise and lead cleaning and waste contractors to maintain high cleanliness standards across the facility. Conduct regular inspections with contractors to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance services meet client standards. Ensure housekeeping staff are properly trained in cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service. Address and resolve housekeeping and recycling-related issues, providing prompt solutions and support. Work with Zone Managers on routine inspections, gather feedback, and ensure contractors follow up on tasks or inform the client when work orders are needed. Compile, review, and submit reports to the client, including contractor performance and contract compliance. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring recycling programs, ensuring proper waste disposal in accordance with guidelines and regulations. Collect, analyze, and report on recycling metrics and performance to support the client. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure adherence to environmental practices and the use of eco-friendly products. Ensure proper waste management practices are followed by suppliers and vendors. Identify and propose improvements to recycling processes for enhanced efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in Estate Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant experience in the industry. Proven commitment to environmental sustainability and recycling programs. Strong attention to detail in maintaining high cleanliness standards. Knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements for recycling and waste management. Proficient in MS Office and strong PC skills. Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills. Service-oriented with the ability to work independently.
