Assistant Restaurant Manager

Description

This position offers the opportunity to support the restaurant's success by assisting in the management of staff, resources, and operations. You'll play a vital role in ensuring efficient service, maintaining quality, and contributing to the restaurant's profitability.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Operational Support and Planning: - Support the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the restaurant's daily operations run seamlessly. - Collaborate with chefs and staff to develop menus that appeal to customers. - Partner with chefs to manage the efficient procurement and purchasing of supplies. - Estimate food and beverage costs and oversee portion control to minimize waste. - Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistent food preparation and service. - Financial and Team Leadership: - Contribute to achieving the restaurant's financial goals. - Lead the team during shifts, upholding company service standards. - Assist in planning marketing, advertising, and special restaurant events. - Staff Management and Development: - Participate in the hiring, training, and scheduling of food service personnel. - Customer Service and Issue Resolution: - Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality and service. - Process customer payments using the Point of Sale system. - General Assistance: - Provide support across various restaurant operations. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Education and Experience: - Minimum GCE ‘N’ level (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the food service industry. - Skills and Abilities: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - A strong passion for providing exceptional service and management. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Ability to communicate fluently in English and at least one other language.
