Restaurant Assistant Manager

Description

A dedicated and organized individual is needed to ensure smooth and efficient service operations in a dining establishment. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, managing reservations, overseeing a team of servers, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Maintain strict adherence to hygiene and safety regulations. * Manage reservations and gather information about the purpose of guest visits. * Present menus, highlighting promotions, specials, and featured items. * Accurately take food and beverage orders, confirming them with guests and providing estimated service times. * Supervise a team of servers during assigned shifts. * Efficiently enter orders into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system. * Process payments and provide accurate bills promptly. * Assist the restaurant manager in planning and organizing special events. * Conduct regular checks of food and beverage inventories and stocks. * Complete opening, operating, and closing procedures as required. * Address and resolve issues related to cashier payments. * Escalate guest complaints to the duty manager when service recovery is not possible. * Adhere to all company standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.

* Strong understanding of hygiene and safety standards in a food service environment. * Excellent customer service and communication skills. * Ability to manage and motivate a team of servers. * Proficiency in using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively. * Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Ability to work well under pressure.
