Kitchen Assistant

Description

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Kitchen Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the designated Operations Manager for the location, this role provides crucial support to the chefs, particularly in the preparation of ingredients and marinades, while also being responsible for upholding excellent kitchen hygiene. The ideal candidate will be organized, attentive to detail, and committed to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Adhere to and uphold the organization's established procedures for managing food waste. * Organize food items for collection as needed. * Ensure the thorough cleaning of the kitchen area after operational hours. * Possess the ability to guide and direct the work of general workers. * Provide support to the Chef as required in various kitchen tasks. * Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the entire kitchen space.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Ability to understand and follow instructions. * Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety practices. * Good physical stamina to handle standing and some lifting. * A positive attitude and willingness to learn. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Prior experience in a kitchen environment is a plus but may not always be mandatory.
