Housekeeper

Description

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms, ensuring that each room meets the hotel’s high standards. Key duties include cleaning and sanitizing guest spaces, replenishing supplies, and responding promptly to special guest requests. The role requires an organized, detail-oriented individual with strong time management skills, capable of working effectively under the hotel’s procedures and health and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate is reliable, capable of multitasking, and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Training is provided, and leadership skills to motivate and guide a team are a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties

Straightening up rooms to maintain a neat appearance * Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks * Making beds and replacing linens * Vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpets and rugs * Sweeping, vacuuming, polishing, and mopping hard floors * Restocking bathrooms and kitchens with fresh linens, toiletries, and other essentials * Emptying trash bins and disposing of waste properly * Reporting any repair or replacement needs * Ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards
