Assistant Restaurant / Restaurant Manager

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee the efficient and successful operation of our restaurant and manage our service team. This role involves ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and that all food and beverage items are delivered with a focus on outstanding service. The Assistant/Restaurant Manager will be responsible for guiding staff, monitoring guest experiences, and upholding our standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Review the work of team members to confirm adherence to established guidelines and operational norms. * Conduct daily inspections of service areas to guarantee the maintenance of high hygiene standards. * Verify that all necessary materials and equipment meet departmental specifications. * Maintain clear and effective communication with the kitchen and other essential departments. * Assess the training requirements within the restaurant team. * Develop training initiatives for both new and existing staff, in collaboration with the training department, and evaluate the effectiveness of these programs. * Regularly review, coach, and assess the performance of team members. * Recognize and reward excellent performance, and implement disciplinary measures when necessary. * Compile a daily logbook for the Director of Food and Beverage, including financial outcomes and other pertinent details. * Ensure that all team members adhere to the establishment's standards, policies, and procedures. * Prepare monthly reports that analyze and explain monthly results, as well as compile guest feedback and comments. * Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant system procedures (both electronic and manual), daily occupancy information, VIP guests, scheduled events, facility layouts, proper equipment usage, and all departmental policies and service protocols. * Proactively anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and acknowledge all guests at every opportunity. * Provide direct support to outlet staff as needed. * Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires and temporary staff, as well as provide ongoing on-the-job training for current employees. * Complete and submit maintenance requests for any necessary repairs. * Perform any other appropriate tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

* A minimum of three years of experience in the food and beverage industry, ideally within a restaurant or cafe environment. * Experience within the hotel sector is a plus but not a mandatory requirement. * Ability to work flexible hours on a rotating shift schedule. * A genuine passion for ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
