Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reservations Agent to handle guest reservation requests and inquiries while ensuring a seamless booking process. The role requires excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest service. The Reservations Agent will also collaborate with team members to meet company standards and maximize revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received through phone, fax, or email. • Identify guest needs, recommend appropriate room types, and verify room availability and rates. • Provide information on guarantee policies, special rates, and cancellation procedures. • Accommodate and document special requests, ensuring accurate input into the reservation system. • Use sales techniques to maximize revenue while meeting guest expectations. • Handle special reservation types such as complimentary rooms, employee discounts, and travel agent rates by applying correct codes and rates. • Address guest inquiries about property facilities, services, and accommodations. • Follow escalation procedures to resolve guest concerns effectively. • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate their needs, and provide personalized assistance. • Assist individuals with disabilities and ensure interactions reflect genuine appreciation and professionalism. • Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and coworkers, maintaining a professional demeanor. • Develop positive relationships with colleagues and contribute to team goals. • Comply with quality assurance standards, company policies, and confidentiality protocols. • Maintain a clean and professional appearance in adherence to company standards. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support departmental goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused attitude. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Proficiency in using reservation systems and familiarity with hotel booking processes. • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a polished appearance at all times. • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to build positive working relationships. • Previous experience in hospitality or reservations is an advantage but not mandatory.
