Responsibilities and Duties

- Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, email, fax, or mail. - Respond to all guest correspondence within 24 hours. - Identify guest needs and recommend appropriate room types, verifying availability and rates. - Clearly explain guarantee requirements, special rates, and cancellation policies. - Document and accommodate special requests accurately. - Provide accurate information on property facilities, services, and accommodations. - Apply sales techniques to maximize room revenue. - Input and update reservations data into the system, ensuring correct codes and rates (e.g., complimentary stays, staff discounts, travel agent inspection rates, wholesale bookings). - Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a reservations or similar role. - Fluent in written and spoken English. - Strong telephone and email communication skills with professional etiquette. - Detail-oriented, with the ability to work accurately under pressure. - Knowledge of reservations systems preferred.
