Description

This position plays a key role in managing guest reservations and maximizing hotel profitability. You will assist the Reservations Manager and take on their responsibilities in their absence. The role focuses on guest experience, team management, financial performance, and responsible business practices.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Ensure efficient and professional handling of all guest communication, internal and external. * Address guest requests promptly and effectively, collaborating with relevant teams. * Monitor room occupancy and communicate fluctuations to operations for staffing adjustments. * Promote guest loyalty programs and manage enrollment. * Assist in maximizing hotel revenue through effective use of company systems and processes. * Work with the Reservations Manager to collaborate with online travel agencies (OTAs) and other external partners. * Monitor group reservation activity and communicate with the sales department. * Follow up on tentative sales bookings with sales staff. * Complete reports and forecasts related to room availability, occupancy rates, and guest reservations. * Manage daily activities, schedules, and workload of reservations staff. * Train, motivate, and lead the reservations team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve departmental goals. * Collaborate with the Reservations Manager to supervise and manage team performance. * Ensure staff receives proper training, equipment, and resources to perform duties effectively. * Define reservation standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Maintain historical records of reservations for future forecasting purposes. * Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting Reservations Agents during peak periods.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Two years of reservations or front office experience, including supervisory experience. * Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). * Ability to work weekends and evenings (no night shifts). * Proficiency in using the Opera reservations system. * Experience working in an international hotel chain is a plus. * Fluency in English is required.
